Job summary

Togetherhood in Washington DC connects educators with schools seeking enrichment. As a network affiliate, you will teach STEM to K-12 students at partner sites for 6 to 18 week terms. Develop age-appropriate curriculum and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons.

This contracted, supplemental role pays $90–$120 per hour, paid per class or per student, with a separate materials budget for classes requiring supplies.

What You’ll Do

As a member of our network, you will be matched with opportunities to teach STEM (including but not limited to Science, Coding, Math, Robotics, Engineering, Video Games, Computer Animation, AI) to K-12 students at schools, buildings, and communities across Washington DC. These teaching opportunities will be for terms that could last anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 weeks.

As an after school instructor, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

• Develop age-appropriate STEM curriculum for after-school students

Who You Are

A fun, enthusiastic, adaptable instructor, with experience teaching school age children, and who:

$90 - $120 an hour

Teachers in the Togetherhood network are paid per class, either flat rate or per-student (determined by the partner school). This is contracted, supplemental 1099 work. There is a separate materials budget for teachers to use for classes requiring one.
