Beavercreek City Schools in Dayton, OH seeks an energetic Instructor Assistant to support DoD STARBASE STEM instruction for fifth-grade students. You will collaborate with the STARBASE Wright-Patt team to manage classrooms, prepare materials, and help deliver memorable learning experiences.

This Employee-At-Will role is contingent upon DoD funding, with a 90-day period every six months and a schedule from 8:00 to 3:30.

Qualifications

• Energetic and self-motivated Instructor Assistant to help create memorable, positive learning experiences.
• Special DoD outreach role separate from regular salary and leave.

Responsibilities

• Support Instruction: Assist 5th-grade students with the DoD STARBASE STEM curriculum using a collaborative co‑teaching model.
• Manage Classrooms: Set up, tear down, and inventory lesson materials routinely to keep shared classrooms organized.
• Build Rapport: Maintain a fun, professional relationship with participating students, visiting classroom teachers, and staff.
• Assist Camps: Provide instruction and operational support for summer camp participants as assigned.
• Represent the Program: Participate in at least two community outreach events, such as TechFest or the STEM Hoopla Challenge.
