Job summary

MISUMI Americas, a division of MISUMI Group, is seeking an Applied Instructional Designer to translate engineering systems into scalable, high‑impact learning experiences for the MISUMI University Program. This role blends engineering knowledge with instructional design to create curriculum, labs, and digital content that align with academic and industry needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Education, Instructional Design, or related field.
• 3–5 years of instructional design, curriculum development, or technical training.
• Strong STEM education principles & project-based learning knowledge.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear learning experiences.
• Familiarity with LMS and digital content development tools.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop curriculum, lab modules, and project-based learning.
• Transform demo platforms and training kits into structured educational pathways.
• Create instructor guides, student materials, assessments, and digital assets.
• Align curriculum with ABET accreditation and university goals.
• Collaborate with Applied Content Engineers for accuracy and relevance.
• Work with University Applications Engineers to pilot content in classrooms.
• Develop scalable delivery formats: in-person, hybrid, and self-paced online learning.
• Measure learning effectiveness and improve content based on feedback.
• Maintain and contribute to the QMS.
