Job summary

MISUMI Americas is seeking a University Applications Engineer to serve as the frontline technical ambassador between MISUMI and universities across North America. This role drives early adoption of MISUMI components, digital tools, and engineering workflows by engaging students, faculty, and academic programs.

You will enable the next generation of engineers by supporting design projects, delivering hands-on workshops, and embedding MISUMI solutions into engineering education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, or design engineering.
• CAD tools proficiency (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Experience with student teams or academic programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage relationships with a defined portfolio of universities.
• Develop partnerships with professors, lab staff, and student organizations.
• Create and execute engagement plans, including workshops and curriculum integration.
• Drive continued engagement and expand MISUMI presence at universities.
• Advise on components, systems, and MISUMI tools.
• Track engagement and outcomes.
• Build multi-level relationships for long-term continuity.
• Maintain the QMS.
