Job summary

Skyline College is hiring undergraduate students for tutoring positions in STEM subjects. Responsibilities include reviewing course content, assisting with homework, and promoting tutoring services.

The ideal candidates must be enrolled in at least 6 units, have a minimum B grade in relevant subjects and possess excellent communication skills.

Previous tutoring experience and participation in the Federal Work Study program are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in at least 6 units through the SMCCD district.
• Minimum grade of B in the subjects intended for tutoring.
• Ability to tutor CIS 122, CIS 242, CIS 250, CIS 252, CIS 274.

Responsibilities

• Review and explain course content, assist with homework.
• Support faculty in STEM courses, host workshops.
• Help students develop study habits and problem-solving strategies.
• Maintain communication with faculty and promote services.
