Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health in New Haven, CT seeks a Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) RN Coordinator to coordinate evaluation and preparation for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies. You will oversee patient care across outpatient clinics, inpatient unit, and community settings to ensure continuity of care.

The role requires a nursing degree, CT RN license, and at least 2 years of acute/chronically ill oncology/hematology experience; certification in Oncology Nursing and/or BMTCN

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• At least two (2) years of RN experience in oncology/hematology/cellular therapy.
• Oncology Nursing certification and/or BMTCN preferred.
• Current State of Connecticut RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduits pre-treatment interviews with prospective transplant/cellular therapy patients and families and interpret eligibility criteria.
• Interacts with physicians, schedulers, and community clinicians to ensure proper scheduling and continuity of care.
• Coordinate education plans for patients and families based on assessment findings.
• Assist in program development and scripting for administrative staff.
• Set annual goals for professional development.
