Job summary

Henry Ford Health's Division of Hematology & Oncology at Henry Ford Hospital and Cancer Institute is seeking a full-time Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Physician for a busy academic practice with a fellowship program.

Board-certified or eligible in Internal Medicine, with Stem Cell Therapy Fellowship (or equivalent) and SCT experience preferred. Inpatient/outpatient care, teaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Internal Medicine as a prerequisite.
• Completion of an ACGME/AOA-approved Hematology/Oncology Fellowship.
• Completion of a Stem Cell Therapy Fellowship and/or one year of SCT patient management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to SCT and cellular therapy patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Manage complex hematologic malignancies and non-malignant disorders requiring SCT.
• Participate in patient selection, conditioning regimens, and post-transplant management decisions.

Position Overview

The Division of Hematology & Oncology in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Henry Ford Hospital & Henry Ford Cancer Institute (HFCI) is currently recruiting a full-time, board-eligible/certified Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Physician for its busy, well-established hospital-based, academic practice, with an established fellowship program. We are looking for individuals pursuing a career in Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy and those that are board certified in Hematology, completed a Stem Cell Transplant Fellowship training and/or one of year experience in managing Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to stem cell transplant and cellular therapy patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Manage complex hematologic malignancies and non-malignant disorders requiring stem cell transplantation
• Participate in clinical decision-making for patient selection, conditioning regimens, and post-transplant management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncology, infectious disease, and supportive care specialists
• Contribute to clinical research and participate in Phase 1-4 clinical trials through the Southwest Oncology Group
• Mentor and supervise hematology/oncology fellows and residents in stem cell transplant rotations
• Teach medical students from Wayne State University and Michigan State University School of Medicine
• Maintain current knowledge of advances in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy through ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Board certification in Internal Medicine
• Completion of an ACGME/AOA-approved Hematology/Oncology Fellowship program or 2-year dedicated fellowship in hematology
• Completion of a Stem Cell Therapy Fellowship and/or one year of experience managing Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy patients
