Qualifications

• Experience in RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis and RT-PCR, protein extraction and Western Blots, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, ELISA, mouse surgery and dissection, cloning, viral packaging and transduction, flow cytometry, and culture of both primary cells and immortalized cell lines.
• Ability to analyze mice and mesenchymal stem cells to infer how polyamine biology impacts osteoblastogenesis and skeletal health.

Responsibilities

• Design specific projects within the research area in consultation with PIs.
• Supervise students or technicians regarding technical aspects of research.
• Analyze mice and MSCs to study polyamine biology and skeletal health.
• Handle mouse breeding and tissue collection; perform microCT and immunohistochemistry analyses.
• Develop data management, report progress to funding agencies, and contribute to grants/manuscripts.
