Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC, seeks a research technician to support routine experiments in a basic biomedical lab focused on human pluripotent stem cells and 3D organoid models. You will assist in setting up the lab, ordering reagents, and maintaining records.

Responsibilities include histology, immunohistochemistry, and basic molecular biology assays, with potential mouse work. A bachelor’s degree in life sciences is required and prior lab management is a plus.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or life sciences.
• Experience with PCR, recombinant DNA work, western blotting, cell culture, histology and immunostaining, and microscopy preferred.
• Strong organizational, record keeping and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Prior lab management experience preferred; ability to perform minimal mouse work.

Mansioni

• Design and plan routine experiments, including optimization of daily protocols and ordering reagents.
• Maintain accurate and timely experimental records.
• Maintain human pluripotent stem cells and intestinal organoids (3D cultures).
• Perform histology, immunohistochemistry and imaging of tissues.
• Contribute to molecular biology assays: DNA isolation, genotyping, qPCR, Western blot.
• Assist in drafting animal protocols and manuscript preparation.
