Job summary

Baylor College of Medicine's Corradetti Lab in the Center for Precision Environmental Health seeks a motivated researcher with a strong background in cell and molecular biology. Experience with cell culture, molecular techniques, or preclinical research is preferred.

The successful candidate will independently prepare reagents, perform experiments, maintain records, learn new techniques, and contribute to ongoing projects in stem cell biology and extracellular vesicle research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field; four years of related experience may substitute.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Expands and maintains stem cell cultures and performs molecular and cellular characterization.
• Isolates, characterizes, and quantifies extracellular vesicles (EVs) from cell culture and biological samples.
• Assists with spina bifida animal studies, including experimental procedures, sample collection, and processing.
• Performs molecular assays, including flow cytometry, immunostaining, and PCR-based techniques.
• Analyzes experimental data, generates figures, and documents and reports results.
• Maintains laboratory protocols, reagents, cell lines, and animal colonies and assists with ordering supplies.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
