Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. seeks a Research Technician I to support liver-development projects in the Department of Cell Biology, Neurobiology, and Anatomy. You will differentiate stem cell lines, perform molecular biology assays, and help manage lab workflows and documentation.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, with interest in cell biology, gene regulation, and embryonic development. No experience is required; a Bachelor’s degree is sufficient to begin training and contribute

Qualifications

• No prior experience required
• Ability to manage daily lab tasks and maintain records

Responsibilities

• Maintain and differentiate stem cell lines using standard tissue culture procedures.
• Perform routine molecular biology techniques.
• Prepare buffers, dilutions, or stock solutions for assays and cell culture.
• Maintain accurate notebooks and data records.
• Order reagents and manage supplies.
• Participate in weekly lab meetings and document outcomes.
