Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Lab Research Assistant to support department research through project execution, data communication, and routine experiments. Under supervision, you will help design experiments and maintain logs, ensuring accurate records and timely summaries for sponsored studies.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and strong skills in biology, chemistry, data handling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent
• No experience required
• Ability to record and communicate experimental results clearly

Responsibilities

• Carry out experimental designs for sponsored research projects and routine experiments
• Record and compile accurate records and communicate summaries of results
• Assist with evaluation and interpretation of data and quality control of assays
• Participate in meetings with principal investigator and research staff and evaluate data validity
• Order and maintain supplies and inventories
• Operate and maintain specialized lab equipment
• Prepare media and maintain cell cultures
• Oversee daily lab operations in supervisor’s absence
• Other duties as assigned
