Job summary

Independence Community College invites applicants for a Career and STEM Coordinator role to advance workforce development, STEM education, and career exploration initiatives. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, STEM, workforce development, engineering, technology, CTE, or related field preferred.
• Experience with K-12 students, STEM education, youth programming, or career exploration preferred.
• Experience developing hands-on educational activities preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, educators, employers, and staff.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills to manage multiple programs.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate interns and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate hands-on STEM activities for K-Adult learners.
• Coordinate ICC FabLab STEM programming with schools and community partners.
• Recruit, train, and supervise interns, student workers, and volunteers.
• Create activity guides, lesson plans, and project documentation.
• Support field trips, camps, and youth workforce development programs.
• Promote ICC and ICC FabLab STEM programs to expand community engagement.
