Job summary

Nexplore in Temecula, CA is seeking a part-time STEM instructor to deliver a range of programs to PreK-12 students. You will plan lessons, train, and engage with students and families, reporting to a Program Success Manager.

STEM After School Instructor

Position: part‑time instructor delivering STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills and/or Fitness instruction to students PreK‑12 at Nexplore. The role includes training, lesson planning, and engagement with students and families. Reports to a Program Success Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent schedule by arriving on time, reviewing lesson plans, and preparing materials.
• Deliver meaningful, standard‑aligned instruction that cultivates critical thinking, problem solving, and joy in learning.
• Engage in professional communication with program managers and site personnel.
• Deliver inspiring instruction from Nexplore’s program collection and administer accommodations or extensions as needed.
• Participate in family engagement efforts and empower children to access and engage in Nexplore programs.

Qualifications

• Part‑time position.
• AA degree or higher.
• At least 2 years of teaching or instructing experience (preferred).
• Experience working with children.
• Experience in educational development or training.
• Teaching degree or certificate is a plus.
• Commitment to the full proposed schedule.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to complete mandatory training.

Program Details

• Class time: 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM.
• Programs: Little Doctors, Pottery, Magic, Science‑Wiz & Science of Superpowers.
• Compensation: $65 per hour of class.
