Job summary

Ford is seeking a Steering Engineer to own the Steering Column, Locks, Shift Lever, and related components across the engineering lifecycle. You will manage suppliers, review CAD models and specs, and drive reliability and FMA practices while supporting vehicle programs and design reviews.

You should have a degree in engineering, 2 years of steering experience, and CAD familiarity (CATIA). The role is hybrid, with onsite work required most days.

Qualifications

• BSME, BSEE or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 2 years automotive steering systems experience.
• 1 year CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage steering component suppliers and RFQ support.
• Review and maintain 2D/3D CAD models and specs.
• Develop and maintain DFMEA/FUSA and design rules.
• Deliver program timing, cost, weight and quality targets.
• Support vehicle CAE, NVH, Dynamics and Safety teams.
