RG&T Solutions is seeking an experienced steering design engineer to develop steering parts and systems delivering high performance, quality and reliability on schedule.

The role involves CAD design (CATIA V5/V6) and MS Office, cross-functional coordination with design, testing, manufacturing and suppliers, and leading milestone-driven project plans. Onsite with potential for one remote day per week, subject to approval.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related STEM field.
• At least 3 years of automotive steering component and system design experience.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilidades

• Design steering components using CATIA V5/V6.
• Apply engineering principles to meet performance, cost, and quality targets.
• Coordinate activities with design, testing, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Create project schedules with milestones and track action items.
• Review costs and propose design improvements.
• Share progress and drive process improvements through trend analysis.

We are seeking an experienced steering design engineer responsible for developing steering parts and systems that deliver high performance, quality, reliability, and value, aligning with targeted schedules.

Key Duties Include

• Designing components such as castings, forgings, stampings, rubber bushings, dampers, springs, and fasteners using CAD tools like CATIA and MS Office.
• Applying fundamental engineering principles to meet complex performance, cost, and quality targets.
• Coordinating activities with cross-functional teams including design, testing, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Creating schedules with milestones, leading meetings, and tracking open items.
• Reviewing costs to ensure alignment with design goals and proposing solutions.
• Sharing progress proactively, completing training, and fostering innovation through studying technical trends and proposing process improvements.

Qualifications Include

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related STEM field.
• At least 3 years of automotive steering component and system design experience, with expertise in CAD (CATIA V5/V6) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Workstyle: Onsite role with potential for one remote day per week with approval.
