Job summary

Baker Roofing Company is seeking a Steep Slope Foreman to lead roofing teams across steep slope projects, inspecting installations and ensuring quality and safety. The role requires frequent travel and supervision of laborers and roofers, with responsibilities spanning from planning through job closeout.

The candidate will operate a company vehicle, coordinate materials, and mentor crew on safety and best practices.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on steep slope roofing incl. slate, tile, shingles, metal.
• Driver's License: Required to operate CMV.
• Certifications: OSHA10, First Aid, CPR Training preferred.
• Languages: Fluent English; Spanish a plus.
• Travel: Able to travel 80% Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Review job file, shop drawings, and scope with the manager, including materials, delivery schedule, and labor budget.
• Attend coordination and planning meetings with GC and customers.
• Receive manufacturer training as required.
• Ensure safety equipment and procedures are in place and followed on site.
• Adhere to company safety policies at all times.
• Supervise crew daily on safety, quality, and labor production; coach crew members and subcontractors.
• Verify materials against purchase orders and plan usage to avoid shortages.
• Install/repair steep slope roofing systems with slate, metal, shingles, and related materials.
• Inspect equipment and work for compliance with standards; manage punch list and job closeout.
