Job summary

Purpose and Scope

Supervise the personnel, processing, scheduling, maintenance, safety, housekeeping, and training for aproduction shift in the Steelmaking area to meet the Faircrest Steel Plantmission statement of producing the highest quality alloy steel at the lowest unit cost. Required to work overtime, rotating shifts/ schedules, or weekends as per business needs.

• Maintenance – Increase the efficiency of the maintenance crews by providing direct supervision and support in the areas of job priorities, assignments, staffing, area cross training, delay reduction, breakdown support, schedule adherence, etc.
• Continuous Improvement – Continue the development of technology and create the environment that encourages this in others and seek continual improvement. Promote aggressiveness and innovation to push the limits of normal operation.
• Communication– Maintain good employee relations. Represent the company to employees, customers and public.
• Cost– Maximize potential of all resources.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with 7years of experience in manufacturing with 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.

Preferred Qualifications.

• Associate's degree in business management, technology or related with 4years of experience in manufacturing with 1 year of experience in a supervisory role preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, technology or related with 2years of experience in manufacturing with 1 year of experience in a supervisory role preferred.
