Job summary

Metallus in Canton, OH is seeking a Production Supervisor for an 8-hour shift at the Faircrest Steel Plant. You will supervise personnel, manage processing and scheduling, oversee maintenance, safety, and training to meet the plant's mission of producing high-quality alloy steel at low unit costs.

Overtime, rotating shifts or weekends may be required. You will lead safety initiatives, improve reliability, and ensure on-time product delivery while maximizing resources and costs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 7 years of manufacturing experience and 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Associate's degree in business management, technology or related with 4 years of manufacturing experience and 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, technology or related with 2 years of manufacturing experience and 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.

Purpose and Scope

Supervise the personnel, processing, scheduling, maintenance, safety, housekeeping, and training for an 8‑hour production shift in the Steelmaking area to meet the Faircrest Steel Plantmission statement of producing the highest quality alloy steel at the lowest unit cost. Required to work overtime, rotating shifts/ schedules, or weekends as per business needs.

Communication– Maintain good employee relations. Represent the company to employees, customers and public.

Minimum Qualifications
