Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a skilled fabricator to make steel molds for concrete using hand and power tools, welding, and lifting equipment. This on-site role involves fabricating steel parts per specifications and reading shop prints.

The position is in California, non-exempt, with benefits including 401(k), health, dental and vision coverage, disability insurance, life insurance, PTO and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• At least one year of steel fabrication experience.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read fractions and a tape measure.
• Ability to read shop prints.
• Understanding of basic use of hand and power tools.
• Maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of steel from parts using cutting equipment and welding parts together per specifications
• Completing vertical and horizontal arc and MIG welding
• Using oxygen and fuel torches to cut steel
• Using industrial steel tools such a vertical band saw, drill press, grinders, etc.
