Job summary

Diamondback America is seeking a Steel Welder Level I to fabricate and weld steel components. The role requires performing MIG and TIG welds in multiple positions, inspecting welds for quality, and assembling parts in fixtures. Candidates must pass a weld test, read tape measures accurately, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass weld test.
• At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures.
• Select torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
• Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.
