Unified Door & Hardware Group, a Foundation Building Materials company, seeks a dependable Welder with steel fabrication experience to weld, fabricate and repair components while reading blueprints and maintaining quality welds. The role requires adherence to OSHA safety standards and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of related experience and a solid understanding of fabrication safety

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of safety practices in a fabrication environment.
• 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Welds, fabricates, and repairs 16-18 gauge stainless steel and other metals using proper techniques.
• Reads blueprints and diagrams to select appropriate welding methods.
• Inspects finished welds for structural integrity and quality.
• Follow OSHA safety requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
• Frequent hand and arm use with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
