Job summary

Precision Industrial Manufacturing is seeking a Welder Apprentice to be trained in welding and fabrication processes. Responsibilities include setting up welding equipment, reading measurements, and following supervisor instructions to ensure safe, quality work.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to standards, and teamwork within PIM’s project initiatives. Prior welding experience is helpful but not required, with on‑the‑job training provided.

Qualifications

• Standing on your feet for a minimum of eight hours.
• Ability to perform basic math and measuring calculations.
• Successfully complete all training on time.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and lifting devices.
• Previous welding and fitting experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with welding tools and procedures (preferred).
• Familiarity with hand tools.
• Safety-conscious attitude.

Responsibilities

• Understands and performs welding processes with assistance to repair and fabricate equipment.
• Sets up equipment according to function and application.
• Reads tape measure and cuts materials from cut lists.
• Follows supervisor instructions to complete tasks safely.
• Adheres to company and customer care standards.
• Promotes safety policies and practices.
• Participates in training and team work for PIM programs.
• Works to support PIM’s mission, vision and values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
