Steel Sales Specialist
Join our dynamic sales team as a Steel Sales Specialist and take on the rewarding challenge of selling flat roll carbon steel products across Texas and nearby regions. In this role, you will be pivotal in strategizing and executing sales plans, exploring new business opportunities, and fostering robust relationships with clients and industry partners. This position offers the flexibility of being based in any state, significant travel opportunities, and the potential to earn six figures with base plus commission and outstanding benefits.
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year plus commission and benefits
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively identify and secure new customers through various methods including phone calls, personal visits, internet research, and extensive networking.
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations by staying current on company offerings, industry trends, and regulatory landscapes.
- Generate and manage detailed quotes and contracts for potential customers, ensuring accurate pricing and service configurations.
- Maintain up-to-date sales demonstration tools and applications to support effective pitches to potential clients.
- Process customer orders diligently and monitor ongoing client needs to ensure continuous product and service availability.
- Provide exceptional post-sale customer service to maintain excellent customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
- Collaborate with other company departments to share valuable insights that might aid in broadening service scope and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or minimum three years of field sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Direct sales experience within the manufacturing or specifically the steel industry.
- A proven track record in sales growth, client relationship management, and deal closing.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Must be willing to travel extensively (over 75%) within the USA.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- In-depth knowledge of steel products and the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in customer service post-sale to foster client relations and secure additional sales.
