Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is hiring a Material Handler to support the fabrication shop. You will load and unload steel from trucks, move steel to production tables, and operate a forklift to feed the production line.

Candidates must have experience with an overhead crane, strong math skills, and the ability to work overtime and weekends. The role demands attention to safety and the ability to stand for long periods in a hot/cold environment.

YOUR ROLE AS A MATERIAL HANDLER

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting the fabrication shop with various duties such as loading and unloading steel from trucks, transferring steel to production table, and using a forklift as needed.

Daily Responsibilities

• Operate forklift as needed
• Perform rigging work including jacking and staking
• Load and unload steel from trucks
• Load steel to transfer tables to feed production line
• Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop

Requirements

• Must have experience with overhead crane
• Experience using and operation a forklift is required
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors
• Works in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and procedures
• Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed
• Basic math skills are required
• Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment
• Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours
• Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
