Job summary

TrueNorth Steel - Huron is looking for a dependable Material Handler to support fabrication operations in Huron, SD. You will unload inbound materials, load outbound goods, and move products to the appropriate operation areas, ensuring safe and accurate distribution throughout the plant.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, can read a tape measure, and works well with a team in all weather; overtime and weekends may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle materials: unload inbound, load outbound, and distribute to fabrication areas.
• Operate equipment to unload, load, and distribute material safely.
• Communicate with team and maintain safe, weather-appropriate work conditions.
• Attend punctually and be prepared for overtime or weekend shifts.

SHIFT:Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30 pm (OT as needed)

PAY RATE:$20.40 - $23.00+ per hour (DOE) + Full Benefit Package

LOCATION:Huron, SD

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the general handling of materials where applicable. The handling of material may be associated with various areas, including unloading in-bound material, loading out-bound material or moving and distributing material to various operation areas for fabrication.

• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.
• Prompt and dependable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED required.
