AZZ Inc. is seeking a forklift operator for our Blacksburg facility on 1st shift to move and load steel products safely, while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Ideal candidates will have forklift certification, be able to work flexible hours, and have experience loading steel; excellent communication and safety awareness are essential. AZZ offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to work flex hours and different shifts.
• Experience loading steel materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Load building materials and components using forklifts, especially Hyster models.
• Ensure parts are accounted for and staged for loading.
• Load material onto flatbed trailers.
• Inspect material for damage prior to loading.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of loading area.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
