Job summary

Joseph Gallagher Limited seeks experienced Steel Fixers to join a major long-term civil engineering project. You will install and position reinforcement steel in line with project specifications, ensuring safety and precision on site.

As part of a skilled civils team, you will read reinforcement drawings, cut, bend, and fix steel, and coordinate with site engineers. A CSCS card is essential; travel may be required for this long-term on-site assignment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret reinforcement drawings and specifications.
• Experience with reinforcing steel installation and construction methods.
• Strong focus on safety and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret reinforcement drawings and specifications.
• Cut, bend, position and fix reinforcing steel and related materials.
• Install reinforcement for concrete structures and foundations.
• Ensure reinforcement is secured prior to concrete placement.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers and other trades.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and workmanship.
• Comply with site health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Support general construction activities as required.
