ForestSource is seeking skilled Steel Welders and Steel Fitters to build high-quality metal components. You will read and interpret engineering blueprints, fabricate and fit metal components or structures to precise specifications.

Required qualifications include extensive welding and fitting experience, tool ownership, and adherence to safety standards. candidates must pass a weld test and a negative drug screen as part of the hiring process.

Qualifikationen

• Welder: 4+ years’ experience as a steel welder or metal fabricator in a manufacturing facility with the ability to grind and finish completed projects.
• Fitter: 5+ years’ experience fitting steel components such as beam, plate, pipe, and tube with tolerances no greater than 1/8" is required.
• Must have your own tools such as squares, levels, hammers, centerpunches, etc.
• Knowledgeable in .045 dual flux core welding process.
• Standard knowledge of rigging practices utilizing 5t-25t cranes.
• Ability to layout raw materials to create parts for sub-assemblies using oxy/acetylene torch, plasma cutters, as well as drills.
• Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
• Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.Ability to stand, bend, or kneel for long periods.
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS OUR WELD TEST
• NEGATIVE DRUG SCREEN REQUIRED, NO EXCEPTIONS

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building sawmill equipment is a plus.
