Jobot is seeking a seasoned Steel Estimator to join our team, focusing on miscellaneous steel projects. The role involves analyzing blueprints, preparing time and cost estimates, and coordinating with clients and vendors to ensure accurate bids and successful project execution.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in steel estimation, strong knowledge of miscellaneous metals, and proficiency in estimation software. This full‑time on‑site position offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Steel Estimator or in a related construction estimating role.
• Extensive knowledge of steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and project estimation.
• Ability to determine material and labor costs accurately.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Keen eye for detail and results‑driven approach.
• Proficiency in computer software for developing estimates.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints and documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services as the project develops.
• Consult with clients, vendors and foremen to discuss and resolve estimates.
• Develop standard hour and related cost data or cost reduction studies.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide make/buy options.
• Prepare estimates for selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Input costs for proposals and create detailed estimates from drawings for miscellaneous metal projects.
