Job summary

Skillforce in De Pere, WI is hiring experienced Steel Erectors for ongoing commercial construction projects. You will assemble and erect pre-engineered metal buildings and structural steel systems, working outdoors at heights as part of a fast-paced crew.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience, be able to read blueprints and shop drawings, and operate hand and power tools safely. Reliable transportation to the jobsite is also expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience erecting metal buildings, structural steel, or related commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying outdoor weather conditions.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and erect pre-engineered metal building systems, including structural steel framing, wall panels, and roof systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
• Measure, align, and install structural components accurately
• Bolt, weld, or fasten steel components as required
• Install insulation, siding, trim, and other building materials
• Safely operate aerial lifts, forklifts, hoists, and other construction equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe work area while following OSHA and jobsite safety standards
• Work with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule

The ideal Steel Erector candidate is comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and as part of a fast-paced construction team.

Steel Erector Job Responsibilities
