Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Erection Foreman to lead field crews on structural steel erection projects in Oregon. You will oversee day-to-day field activities, coordinate manpower, and ensure work is performed safely and to project specs.

You must read structural drawings and erection plans, direct crane and rigging operations, mentor crew members, and liaise with project managers and general contractors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of structural steel erection experience.
• Foreman or lead experience preferred.
• Ability to read structural drawings and erection plans.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Structural Steel Erection Foreman

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Erection Foreman to lead field crews on structural steel erection projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with steel erection and the ability to safely and efficiently manage crews in the field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead structural steel erection crews
• Coordinate daily field activities and manpower
• Read and interpret structural drawings and erection plans
• Direct crane, rigging, and steel erection operations
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications

Qualifications

• Previous Foreman or Lead experience preferred
• Strong understanding of structural steel erection, rigging, and crane operations
• Ability to read structural drawings and erection plans
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• OSHA safety knowledge
• Willingness to work on active construction sites and travel as required
