Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Site Safety Coordinator in Baltimore, MD, for a 6-week steel erection project. The role offers $51-$57/hr plus a $150/day per diem, with 12-hour shifts over three weekdays and 36 hours per week. Immediate start for a CHST-certified safety professional with OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid credentials.

Expect active field safety oversight, inspections, toolbox talks, and close collaboration with crews to maintain OSHA compliance and a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience.
• Demonstrated background supporting steel erection projects.
• Proven ability to lead toolbox talks and safety coaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily safety oversight for all steel erection activities.
• Conduct routine equipment and work area inspections to identify and correct hazards.
• Lead toolbox talks and reinforce safe work practices with field personnel.
• Maintain an active field presence and build strong relationships with crews and supervision.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Observe work activities, coach employees on safe behaviors, and address at-risk conditions immediately.
• Help drive a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention and accountability.
