Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Site Safety Coordinator for a high-profile steel erection project in Baltimore, MD. This 6-week assignment offers a pay range of $51-$57 per hour with a $150 per diem, working 3 flexible weekdays with 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM), totaling 36 hours per week.

Ideal candidates have CHST certification, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and 5+ years of construction safety experience.

Qualifications

• CHST certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience.
• Experience supporting steel erection projects.
• OSHA 30 Certification is required.
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily safety oversight for all steel erection activities.
• Conduct routine equipment and work area inspections to identify and correct hazards.
• Lead toolbox talks and reinforce safe work practices with field personnel.
• Maintain an active field presence and build relationships with crews and supervision.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Observe work activities and coach employees on safe behaviours; address at-risk conditions.
• Drive a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention and accountability.
