Job summary

FDRsafety is seeking a Safety Manager for a 1.5-3 year project with a large construction client near Rayville, LA. The role requires Monday-Saturday, 6-10 dayshift hours for the project duration, with per diem available for non-local candidates, and a focus on developing and enforcing Health and Safety policies on all job sites.

Responsibilities include evaluating practices to OSHA compliance, conducting safety investigations, and recommending improvements or preventive measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health and safety or related field is strongly preferred.
• CHST certification required; OSHA 510 certification preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience in a lead safety role.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and update safety practices and procedures in adherence to changing legal and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct special studies and investigations related to health and safety matters for the company.
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures.
