Job summary

Trillium Construction is hiring a Steel Erection Project Manager to oversee the erection of steel at a data center site in Lebanon, IN. This is a full-time, long-term, direct hire position for a project expected to last 2 years on 1500 acres with substantial budget and scope.

Responsibilities include managing all phases of construction, budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination, as well as reviewing plans and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Experience managing PEMB, structural steel, industrial, or data center construction projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, contracts, and regulations.
• Experience with subcontractor management, budgeting, estimating, and change orders.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Project, and construction management software (SAGE 300 experience a plus).
• Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify scope requirements and potential issues.
• Coordinate with owners, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and field supervision to ensure successful project execution.
• Prepare, negotiate, and manage subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Communicate project expectations, goals, and updates with onsite superintendents and project teams.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, safety compliance, quality standards, and schedule milestones.
• Manage material, labor, and equipment procurement to support project timelines.
• Conduct project meetings, track progress, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Review invoices, approve payments, and assist with project financial reporting.
• Support punch list completion, final inspections, and project closeout activities.
