Balance Staffing is partnering with a well-established structural steel fabrication company in Oakdale, CA to hire an experienced Steel Detailing Manager to lead their detailing and BIM team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with structural steel detailing experience who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing and fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support detailers and BIM staff
• Review and approve shop drawings for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure drawings meet AISC standards and AWS codes
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams
• Maintain project schedules and support production deadlines
• Improve detailing workflows and team performance

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of structural steel detailing experience
• Previous leadership or BIM/Detailing Manager experience preferred
• Strong understanding of fabrication and erection standards
• Knowledge of AISC standards and AWS codes
• Tekla experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
