New Millennium, part of Steel Dynamics, Inc., is seeking a Detailer to support non-residential projects by reviewing structural drawings and applying load requirements to joists and girders.

You will coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, erectors, and architects to ensure accurate layouts, Bills of Material, and timely delivery of shop drawings. A rewarding path within SDI awaits with training and growth.

Qualificações

• Experience reviewing structural drawings for non-residential buildings.
• Ability to interpret loading diagrams and apply load requirements to joists/girders.
• Experience analyzing connections of joists/girders to supports.
• Ability to coordinate with trades and architects to incorporate needs.
• Familiarity with joist/girder/profile properties.
• Knowledge of creating placement plans and Bills of Material.

Responsabilidades

• Review structural contract drawings and specifications for non-residential building projects.
• Interpret the loading diagrams with the assistance of Project Managers and Engineers and apply those load requirements to the steel joists and girders.
• Analyze connections of steel joists and girders to the supporting members (beams, columns, walls, etc.).
• Identify special connections that may be required.
• Coordinate with other trades to incorporate their needs into the joist/girder designs.
• Create Joist/Girder/Deck placement plans, sections, and details for review/approval and for erection.
• Create Bills of Material for all joists, girders and deck that import into our design program.
• Coordinate with customers, erectors, GC’s and Architect/Engineer of Record to ensure quality and on-schedule delivery.
• Other duties as necessary
