Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience in steel fabrication/erection preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; scheduling software (MS Project/Primavera) preferred.
  • Valid US driver’s license required.
  • Knowledge of Tekla or Trimble Connect is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and cost control standards.
  • Ability to apply mathematics to project management tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the process of fabricating and erecting structural steel and metal components.
  • Read specs and blueprints to determine material quantities and sizes.
  • Create and maintain schedules for preconstruction, submittals, engineering, shop drawings, procurement, fabrication, shipping, erection and closeout.
  • Prepare and coordinate submittals, contracts, blueprints, and critical documents.
  • Communicate with other contractors to maintain schedule and resolve design conflicts.
  • Coordinate the steel package with other trades via BIM and clash detection.
  • Organize and maintain project documents in hard copy and digital formats.
