Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. in Richmond, VA, seeks an experienced Fitter/Fabricator to perform advanced layout, fitting, and fabrication requiring precise interpretation of blueprints and skilled equipment operation.

You will weld in all positions to AWS D1.1/D1.5, operate torch and plasma cutters, read complex drawings, and train junior fabricators while ensuring dimensions and tolerances are met.

Qualifications

• Proven fabrication experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret complex fabrication drawings.
• Capable of training junior fabricators.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced layout and fit-up activities.
• Perform MIG, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW.
• Weld in all positions to AWS D1.1 and D1.5 standards (1G, 2G, 3G, 6G).
• Perform advanced torch and plasma cutting operations.
• Read and interpret complex fabrication drawings.
• Independently operate hand saws, mag drills, and fabrication equipment.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Assist with training junior fabricators.
