Job summary

Bilstein Cold Rolled Steel Lp. in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a Full Time Central Coil Storage Operator. You will receive, stock and manage hot rolled steel coils, using cranes and forklifts to move materials and maintain accurate warehouse records.

Responsibilities include inspecting coils, verifying labels against documents, inputting data into the warehouse system and ensuring safe, orderly storage according to work schedules.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate cranes and forklifts to receive, stock and control hot rolled steel coils.
• Adherence to 5S standards and safe working practices in a warehouse environment.
• Accurate data entry and verification of coils against shipping documents.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and/or forklifts to receive, stock and control coil inventory.
• Position coils using cranes; move inbound, in-process and finished goods.
• Ensure crane loads are within rated capacity; perform preventive maintenance.
• Handle slings, cables and gear for lifting operations; inspect as needed.
• Unload wagons and report damaged equipment; inspect coils for quality.
