Job summary

Bilstein Cold Rolled Steel Lp. is seeking a Cold Rolling Mill Operator in Bowling Green, KY to set up, operate, and monitor the cold rolling and temper mill process.

You will work with the team to produce coils to specified tolerances and surface finishes, load and transport coils, and participate in quality checks. The role emphasizes hands-on machinery operation, process monitoring, and collaboration with adjacent departments to ensure production efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

• Experience reading production schedules and work orders.
• Ability to operate cold rolling mill and temper mill.
• Experience monitoring gauges and ensuring product tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain and monitor cold rolling and temper mill operations to achieve specified thickness and surface finishes.
• Read production schedules and work orders to determine processing sequences.
• Load coils using cranes, conveyors, or hoists and move them to required positions.
• Monitor process information and measurements to ensure target surface and thickness; adjust controls as needed.
• Inspect finished coils, identify scrap or rework, and document QA data.
• Train new workers in rolling mill operation and mill equipment.
• Communicate with team leaders and other departments to meet production and quality goals.
