The University of Georgia Facilities Management Division is the largest of seven (7) divisions reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration. This is skilled steam fitting and welding work at the journeyman level, primarily involved with the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of campus steam distribution system, system components and building steam‑powered equipment. Most work is performed on equipment both inside and outside of buildings. Additionally, work involves pipe fitting and welding in support of steam system and equipment work as well as other general welding work in support of other shop maintenance activities.
