Position Summary This is skilled technical work at a journeyman level involving operating, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing: plumbing systems and components, steam and hot water boiler equipment, other gas-fired equipment and fire protection systems. This includes systems in building as well as utility service: water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and gas distribution systems.

Troubleshoot, maintain and repair steam and hot water boilers and associated system equipment.
Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair building plumbing systems and components.
Read and understand oral and written instructions and to work from blueprints and sketches.
Understand and apply standard trade practices in performing work.
Prepare simple, clear and concise written description of work performed.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. throughout shift.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, squat, work from a standard or extended ladder, and work with hands above head.
Driving to perform work related duties
Work is performed in both buildings and outside and at times involves working while exposed to adverse weather conditions.
