Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory seeks a Work Center Team Lead – Steam Systems within the Utilities Division to lead the steam, compressed air, and natural gas distribution operations. You will supervise a team of engineers, supervisors, planners, operators, and craft personnel to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant utility services across ORNL.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Eight years in utility/industrial plant with operations and maintenance responsibilities.
• Three years of supervisory/management experience.
• Experience with industrial steam systems, boiler systems, compressed air systems, natural gas distribution systems, central utility plants, or other large-scale mechanical utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead personnel and ensure safe, reliable operation of steam, compressed air, and natural gas systems.
• Provide technical leadership for boilers, fuel systems, pumps, and controls.
• Ensure reliability via preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate outages and resource planning with system engineering, maintenance planners, and operations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
