Duties:

This position reports directly to the Chief Engineer; operates power plant boilers and associated equipment in a combined heat and power system; maintains appropriate logs and records as required; performs proper boiler water treatment activities; repairs, overhauls and maintains power plant machinery and equipment; prepares low pressure boilers for inspection; maintains clean work areas; complies with all Complex health, safety and security procedures; must be able to safely lift 50 lbs. or more. Performs other duties as assigned.

Comments:

This is a Civil Service position. Please note that salaries for union positions are determined according to the provisions of the respective collective bargaining agreement.Applicants must have no felony convictions, to include any actions defined in 5 U.S.C. 301; U.S.C. 509, 510; 42 U.S.C. 15601-15609. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of a current and valid First or Second Class Steam Firemans license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety, pursuant to Chapter 146 of the Massachusetts General Laws.
