Green Valley Ranch Resort is seeking a part-time Steakhouse Host/Cashier. You will greet and seat guests quickly and politely, answer phones, take reservations, and coordinate dining times to ensure a smooth flow of service.
Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced environment, cash handling experience, and a courteous, guest-focused approach aligned with company standards. Experience in hospitality or food service preferred; on-site work at a resort casino.
Description:
Greet and seat Guests pleasantly, quickly, and efficiently in an excellent manner. Ensure proper service. Ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the restaurant. Communicate all Guest opportunities/situations to management or relief personnel. Answer phones, take reservations and coordinate reservations. Have knowledge of all service employees' responsibilities, including but not limited to the food servers, bus persons, and runners. Have detailed knowledge of the facility and its amenities. Be aware of activities in dining room, including but not limited the service standards being used, the bussing of tables, station assignments, special functions, the presence of executives, and the availability or unavailability of particular items. Run cash register and handle money. Ensure employee safety. Assist in bussing and/or resetting tables. Remove debris (napkins, straws, etc.) from the floor as necessary. Monitor door at all times to ensure prompt seating of Guests. Responsible for cleanliness of host/hostess stand, floors, menus, signage, and special boards. Responsible for register bank and all money, charges and comps collected during a shift. Have knowledge of all methods of check tendering (Cash, comp, coupon, credit card, gift certificates, etc.) Balance all checks at the end of the shift and turn in work, in a neat and organized manner.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-paced high-energy service environment. Ability to courteously and efficiently interact with Guests to ensure their satisfaction while dining, in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. Cash handling experience preferred. Manage time effectively with minimum supervision and obtain all required work cards.
