Job summary

Omaha Steaks is hiring for a permanent, full-time meat processing role on the night shift (3:15pm–12am). You will work 40 hours per week in a clean facility with high‑tech equipment and a strong safety record.

Responsibilities include cutting meat to weight specifications, inspecting quality, weighing portions, and general cleanup. The company offers career growth, a supportive team, and a family‑owned heritage in Omaha.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Straight knife experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to use knives, scales, and other cutting tools as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Cuts meat into steaks, chops and other products to prescribed specifications.
• Visually inspects fabricated cuts for overall quality and prepares meat for cutting.
• Weighs steaks and records counts for trays.
• Performs cleaning and sanitation duties as required.
• Repacking and miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Full-time night shift. Work40 hours per week. Schedules start at 3:15pm - 12am. Hours are basedon business needs.

Essential job duties include but are not limited to:

• Cuts meat into steaks, chopsand other products either by hand or by machine to obtain given weight,yield or prescribed specifications.
• Visually inspects fabricatedcuts of meat for overall quality. Prepares the meat for cutting bytrimming excess fat and trim and determines the best way to cut the meatinto steaks.
• Weighs steaks and records thetotal number of steaks cut, the number of target steaks cut, and thenumber of oddball steaks cut on a ticket that is attached to the trays ofmeat.
• Performs various clean upduties such as cleaning scales, maintaining knives, and moving pans ofmeat to various stations.
• Performs a variety ofmiscellaneous activities such as repacking of products, carrying pans ofproduct and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be at least 18 years ofage.
