You will process STD/LTD claims with a focus on accuracy, legal compliance, and timely outcomes, liaising with medical professionals and clients to determine liability and return-to-work potential.

The role emphasizes independent judgment, clear communication, and use of AI tools to enhance speed and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must live within commutable distance of listed US offices including Cary, NC.
• 2+ years of short-term disability (STD) experience.
• Disability insurance, written communication, and verbal communication.
• Ability to use AI to improve speed, quality, and efficiency across a broad range of day-to-day tasks.

Responsabilités

• Independently assess, analyze, and render appropriate claim decisions on STD and state claims.
• Clarify functional capacity and gather medical information to determine liability.
• Adhere to federal and state laws to ensure timely claim outcomes.
• Communicate clearly to influence return to work and explain payment decisions.
• Coordinate with claimants, doctors, nurses, employers, and attorneys to gather necessary information.
