Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a manufacturing engineer to develop manufacturing solutions, create and maintain process instructions, and support stator manufacturing operations for new build and service projects.

You will lead supplier qualification, design tooling, provide hands-on support, and drive continuous improvement using LEAN and 5S, while collaborating across international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or engineering required.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in manufacturing-related field.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of metal joining / brazing and tooling.
• 3D modeling with NX or Mastercam desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturable solutions and processes for stator builds.
• Create, document, and maintain detailed work instructions; train hourly workforce.
• Lead supplier qualification efforts including PFMEA, IPPQ, MQCP, and first article.
• Design, procure, and document tooling; interface with vendors for assembly processes.
• Provide hands-on manufacturing support, troubleshoot, conduct root-cause analyses.
• Drive continuous improvement using LEAN, 5S, and cycle-time reduction.
